Nothing makes me happier than hosting family holiday parties!
As a child, I dreamed of having a large family. I grew up with one (very awesome) brother and that’s about it. All of our cousins lived in Minnesota and we did not have much family around in California. Needless to say, I often thought about what it would be like to host a gigantic Thanksgiving feast.
Fast forward several years…..I married my husband, Matt, in 2000. He is one of seven children in his family. Voila- INSTA-FAMILY! It’s gigantic.
This year, I am hosting Thanksgiving for 20 family members. Creating a beautiful tablescape is my favorite part of the holidays, and I would like to share my design with you.

This is my DIY Thanksgiving centerpiece for our 2014 tablescape.

White pumpkins, mercury glass votives and fall blooms create a beautiful centerpiece.

Welcome to my black and white dining room!

I am in love with this birch tree candle from Pier 1 Imports.

The paisley velvet pillows pull the colors together in the room.

Who has 20 matching chairs? I sure don’t. I just threw some white slip covers on to unify all of the seating in the room.
