Who doesn’t LOVE mint and coral….especially for a little girl? This color-packed combo is a huge trend in fashion and design. My daughter, Delaney, is a girly-girl, and I knew this color scheme would fit her personality. But making your concept a reality can be tough when you have to find things on a budget.

When I am decorating a space, I always try to find a special piece that inspires the design. For Delaney’s room, the inspiration was these beautiful mint nightstands. I found them on Craigslist for $120 each (already painted and distressed). From there, I chose a vibrant lattice print wallpaper for the accent wall. I searched high and low for a bedspread that would bring it all together. I finally located this quilt at Home Goods for $19.99. They only carried it in a twin size, so I decided to turn it sideways to make it fit the full size bed.

This color scheme is soothing and sophisticated.

This 36″ gold mirror was a steal at Pier 1 for just $75.

I found this vintage dresser on Craigslist for $150. I love French provincial furniture with serpentine edges!

I didn’t want coral walls to overpower the space, so I added a gold polka dot wall to balance it out.

This gold jewelry box is a great accessory for any girl’s room. $20 at Target.

I found this burlap frame at TJ Maxx for $14.99 and added a “D” that I found for $5 at Hobby Lobby.

We built a custom cornice over the window to add another layer of sophistication to the space. Total cost was $35 and some elbow grease.
